Willing Workers On Organic Farms

We are pleased to announce that WWOOFing applications can now resume!

Longley Organic Farm is a good place to find yourself and make new friends.

The farm work varies greatly from day to day, including: harvesting and preparing veggies for sale (including salad mixes, berries, seasonal veg) seeding veggie trays for our glasshouse heat beds, transplanting plants and preparing garden beds, helping with jam making and other preserving, farming composting worms, making compost, learning many aspects of cutting edge organic and regenerative market gardening techniques.

Provided; all accommodation; bedding, electricity, laundry, bathroom, heating, food, kitchen and studio to share with the other people working on the farm, mainly WWOOFers from around the globe.

There is free wifi in the shared space.

Hats, gloves, gumboots and wet weather jackets supplied.

Bring plenty of warm clothes especially if you will be here May-September.

Wwoofing hours

Hours will depend on the terms of your stay, as a general rule are between 8.00-8.30am to 3.00-3.30pm with a one hour lunch break week days.


If you want to take a number of days off to tour Tasmania, we will accommodate this, but will prefer a few days notice.

James and the other WWOOFers will teach you everything you need to know.

Most people stay for a couple of months, following an initial one week trial to make sure it is a good fit for you and us.

To get here

Catch the Airport Shuttle Bus to Hobart. We may be able to pick you up from there, or else catch the regional bus, Tassielink Huon Valley Route.

 Get off at the Sandfly turnoff, you will be 1km from our farm, call us, we may be able to pick you up from there.

After work options include

We are only 20 mins from Hobart, on the bus route and 5 minutes from the nearest town by car.

There is a famous pub with Sunday bands next door.

Mana Yoga in Hobart is a compassionate Yoga session catering for entry level to advanced Yogis in a hot or regular room. Whilst on the farm you will be able to attend unlimited classes for $20 for two weeks or $44 for a month. Mana Yoga

On hot days the local water hole is great for a dip and a sunbake on the rocks.

Explore the many walking trails at Mt Wellington National Park, or drive to the summit.
We are nestled on its doorstep.
